Mattress Trash Authority Most of us are used to seeing mattresses in bedrooms, so seeing a sad sack outside of its natural habitat usually raises an eyebrow. The Mattress Trash Authority documents these "street mattresses," and using over 270 photos of one-time comfort zones reduced to rubbish, they've created an interesting photo essay. Thoughtfully grouped into categories ranging from "sleepable" to "tainted," the mattresses appear on the side of the road, in the driveway, or in the Dumpster.
