Hall of Black Achievement (HOBA) As Black History Month winds down, it's a perfect time to highlight a site that hopes to "help cement into the mainstream of history the extraordinary contributions made by people of color throughout this nation's history." HOBA tackles this task by chronicling important figures such as Crispus Attucks, a hero of the American Revolution; Dr. Charles Richard Drew, a brilliant physician famous for his work in blood preservation; and Roland Hayes, the first black male to win praise on both sides of the Atlantic as a concert singer. The site accomplishes its educational mission and helps to "enlighten the unenlightened." (in Cultures and Groups)
