Polapolapolapola...
How screenshotdid it start, and when will it end? The answer to the first half of the question is simple: In 1996, Mark-Steffen Göwecke took a Polaroid picture of stones on a beach. Then he took another and another and another. Each pic snapped by the SX-70 camera showed the previous picture. A picture in a picture in a picture. As Göwecke states, "The distances in space and time became larger." The second half of the question is more difficult to answer. More than 150 pictures later, the project continues with no end in sight. Maybe if you look hard enough, you can see where it all started. (in Photography)
